Len Furniture recently worked with Geyer Design on EnergyAustralia’s new Two Melbourne Quarter (2MQ) headquarters, providing stylish, Australian-made designer furniture to deliver the architect’s vision.
EnergyAustralia’s new Two Melbourne Quarter (2MQ) headquarters is a vast commercial office development comprising ten and a half floors in Melbourne’s ‘Docklands’ precinct. Architect Geyer Design provided a vision based on their values of Curiosity, Intelligence and Spirit, which was complemented beautifully by Helen Kontouris’ inspired and sophisticated furniture designs.
The EnergyAustralia @2MQ project proved a unique challenge for architects Geyer Design. This vast building needed to reflect the image of the anchor tenant while remaining appealing to other organisations who might wish to occupy the remaining spaces. Geyer Design was certainly up to the task. As an architect operating in Melbourne since 1977, their team is familiar with designing buildings that fit seamlessly into the city, looking like they’ve always been part of the cityscape. However, they’re also not afraid to be innovative and bring a youthful, dynamic feel to every project.
Of course, to complete any building, you need the finishing touches that only the best designer furniture can bring. Helen Kontouris of Len Furniture brings the best of Australian design to the sumptuous lounges that now adorn the open spaces of this gorgeous modern office building. In addition, LEN furniture brought its own high sustainability standards to match the requirements for this project, which achieved a 6-Star Green Star As-Built and a 5.5 Star NABERS Energy rating.
LEN furniture’s lounges offer a comfortable retreat to gather and focus that complement any office space. We work with architects to ensure the best possible match for their vision in terms of tailored form and colour scheme match. To find out more, contact us today for a free initial consultation.
