Perth’s Level 2 space on Fleet House was recently converted into a stunning showroom for Stylecraft by international architectural practice Woods Bagot. The designers collaborated closely with Stylecraft to make the most available space while preserving significant historical elements like the original wooden stairway. The result is an abundant, decadent, multipurpose space combining domestic and corporate design elements.
Stylecraft’s furniture was given centre stage thanks to the design team’s minimalist approach, including custom joinery, black structural space framing, and subtle aesthetic touches. Timber floors, raised floors, a glassed-in conference room, and a soundproof nook created a dynamic space that blurs the lines between a typical office and a store. Stylecraft emphasised the area through intelligent devices and told the product’s story because of the lighting design with complete control using mobile and responsive technology.
Featured in the space is LEN’s Softscape collection. The collection’s Softscape stools, lounge, and accessories create an emotional connection with clients and staff alike, while the rich textures and sumptuous materials create a luxurious feel. The collection offers flexible seating arrangements that allow for evolution with the user and built-in power supports functionality.
Woods Bagot is a multi-author practice focusing on architecture, interior design, and master planning in collaboration with clients, communities, and other creatives. Without relying on a particular aesthetic, they delve into data to foresee how people will act in the future. Woods Bagot’s guiding principle of contrasting elements to enhance the exceptional can be seen in the successful reinvention of the Stylecraft Murray Street showroom.
